Te Tai awa

Te Tai-awa is a kaupapa Māori organisation, based in the predominantly Pasifika community of Ōtara, whose clients and staff come from a variety of backgrounds. We have provided counselling, social work and other services to whānau in south Auckland for 30 years.

Our name represents our purpose in supporting people to navigate their way through difficulties towards well-being. The kōwhai is in our logo because it is durable and has healing properties; it also indicates personal growth and helping people move on from the past; it reminds us that even though someone has passed on, they remain alive in our memories.
