Kia ora! Kō Ross tōku ingoa. I am Pākēha and arrived in Aotearoa in 2009.
I live in Ōamaru, North Otago and see clients both in-person from my office in Ōamaru and online. I'm available Monday-Friday between 9am and 4pm, with some later appointments available. I am also currently offering in-person support in Waimate on Wednesday's 11am-4pm.
My background is in education, with nearly twenty years of experience as a secondary school teacher, and as a senior education advisor for the Ministry of Education. After training as a counsellor, I now work with children and adults in private practice. I have experience working with the rainbow community, neurodivergent clients, and rural communities. I mainly work with individuals but I am open to working with couples and groups. I have lived experience of bereavement as a result of suicide and know the value of having a safe, welcoming space to tell our stories and process our feelings and experiences.
