“He hono tāngata e kore e motu, kāpā he taura waka e motu.”
Bonds between people cannot be broken, unlike the severable canoe rope.
Kia ora, my name is Nathan, and I am a Registered Social Worker and experienced mental health therapist based in Whanganui. I have spent years working alongside individuals and whānau navigating grief, loss, and the challenges that come with them. My background includes working in mental health services, family therapy, and rehabilitation settings, giving me a broad understanding of the many ways grief can impact our lives.
I believe that grief is deeply personal, and there is no “right” way to experience it. My approach is compassionate, flexible, and tailored to each person I work with. I am committed to ongoing training in a range of therapy modalities, including EMDR and ACT, to ensure I can provide the best support possible.
Reaching out for support can be difficult, but you don’t have to go through this alone. If you believe we’d be a good fit, I’m here to walk alongside you as we navigate your grief together.
I am available Monday to Friday, between 8.30am and 5pm.
Noho ora mai rā,
Nathan
