Kia Ora koutou, Talofa Lava and Hello there.
I am a registered Occupational Therapist and my focus area is Mental Health. Initially, I worked with the DHB as a Mental Health clinician for 7yrs in different teams. I now work in Primary Mental Health Care and receive referrals from GPs. I am currently training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of Canterbury.
In my professional career and personal life I have connected with many people facing various elements and impacts of suicide. Whether it be support in times of grief and suffering, interventions as someone battles suicidal thoughts or conversations with those impacted by loved ones who have either taken their own life or are thinking about it – we talk. My ears and heart are open to hear what you have to say. Using my professional knowledge and experience, my hope is that I will help you to make sense of some of what you are experiencing as we work through it.
A bit about me, I am of Samoan and NZ origin. My husband, our 4 children and I left Auckland in 2017 and now proudly called the Mighty Waikato our home.
