Kia ora, I’m Denise. Firstly let me express how sorry I am for your loss. Losing someone in our lives, no matter in what capacity, is hard. So my deepest sympathy goes out to you.
For many years I have worked with people affected by the grief of losing a loved one, particularly working with bereaved parents.
In counselling I provide an empathetic, safe space for you to feel comfortable expressing your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I have a comprehensive experience of anxiety, depression, grief, pregnancy loss, and neurodiversity (Autism/ADHD).
I respect that grief cannot be rushed, compared or measured – your grief journey is unique to you. Together we can share your grief, your journey, and possibly find ways to keep connection and continuing bonds with those who have left you.
I find it an absolute privilege to be with someone on their grief journey. I hope to be a compassionate, empathetic support to work through your grief.
I am the team leader and counsellor at St Peters House where I am available for sessions on a Thursday afternoon.
Hours available: St Peters House: Thursday 2pm-5pm Face to Face
